Some people would rather meet a few people before they meet one.

That is what a RAVL event is for. A room in a public place, a handful of people who are also away from home this week, and no obligation to speak to any of them twice.

A breakfast, a dinner, a walk. Not a conference.

A RAVL event is a table, or a bar, or a Sunday morning walk along a river. It is small enough that you will talk to most of the room, and short enough that it does not take your evening if it is not for you. Meetups happen in public venues, and every event has a named host who has committed to being there.

Places are limited and tickets are paid — the room costs what the room costs. Members pay less than guests, and you do not need an account to come to your first one.

The event is the introduction. The conversation after it is the point. Most of what RAVL is for happens the next time you are both in the same city.

What is coming up

Nothing on the calendar in your city this week.

Events happen where there is a cluster of members that week, so they come and go by city. The rest of RAVL does not. Declare a trip and you can see who else is there whether or not there is an event on.

Come to one, or skip them entirely. Both work.

Tell us where you are going, and see who else will be there that week.
